DONNA M. PEETSCH

Donna M. Peetsch, 79, of Hutchinson passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe. Funeral Service was held Tuesday, May 7, 2024, 11 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with interment in Glencoe City Cemetery in Glencoe.

Donna Marie Peetsch was born on September 24, 1944, in Madelia. She was the daughter of Erwin and Elsie (Wolter) Debner. Donna was baptized on October 15, 1944, at Plato Reformed Church by Pastor Bunge. She was confirmed in her faith on May 18, 1958, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe by Rev. H.A. Bode. Donna received her education in Glencoe and was a graduate of Glencoe High School, class of 1962.

On October 21,1962, Donna was united in marriage to Darvin Quast. This marriage was blessed with four children, Kenneth, Eric, Tracey, and Kari. Donna remarried in April of 1995 to Alvin Peetsch in Las Vegas, Nev. Through this marriage, Donna gained four stepchildren, Lori, Brian, Shelly, and Bradley. Donna and Alvin made their home in Hutchinson where they shared 29 years of marriage.

Donna held various positions for work over the years. She owned Montgomery Wards Catalog Store in Gaylord. She also worked for 16 years at HTI. After leaving HTI, she was an administrative assistant at Security Bank and Trust in Glencoe, until retiring in 2011. Donna was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.

Donna enjoyed many hobbies which included gardening, sewing, embroidery, and crocheting. She loved watching Hallmark Channel movies and reading novels by her favorite authors, Nicholas Sparks and LuAnne Rice. The neighborhood birds depended on her for food and she loved watching them at the feeders in her backyard. Donna became very skilled at making porcelain dolls and she cherished her Precious Moments collection. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

Donna is survived by her husband, Alvin Peetsch of Dassel; children, Kenneth Quast and his wife Shelly of Hutchinson, Eric “Rick” Quast and his wife Jody of Stewart, Tracey Strande and her husband Jay of Cleveland, Minn.,Kari Hassebrock and her husband Mike of Minnetonka; Brian Peetsch and his wife, Patty of Woodbury, Lori Peetsch and her husband, Steve Anderson of Cook, Shelly Peetsch of Hutchinson; daughter-in-law, Patty Peetsch of Pillager; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sisters, Darlene Matuska of Chanhassen, Deanne Johnson of Milaca; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Elsie Debner; brother, Dennis (Linda) Debner; stepson, Bradley Peetsch; brother-in-law, Dennis Matuska.
