Get ready to Swing Into Spring

Get dressed in your fancy attire! Put on your dancing shoes, and get ready for some good, old-fashioned fun! Hutchinson High School’s annual Swing Into Spring event at the Crow River Winery will take place Friday, May 17 -- the culmination of the year for both the jazz bands and New World Singers and their teachers. “We develop the calendar around the Swing Into Spring event,” Nickolas Buroker, Hutchinson High School band director said.

BASEBALL

Hutchinson wrapped up a busy week with a 4-1 win over Alexandria Friday. It was the Tigers’ third game in four days, during which they won two of three and improved to 6-7 on the season.

The Hutchinson Senior Center is owned and operated by Hutchinson through its Parks, Recreation and Community Education Department. Rehearsals begin for summer musical ‘Matilda’

Hutchinson Theatre Company’s summer musical, “Matilda,” is based on the 1988 novel of the same name by Roald Dahl. The story centers on Matilda Worwood, a precocious 5-year-old girl who has the gift of telekinesis, which is the ability to move objects using her mental power. She loves to read, overcomes obstacles created by her family and school, and helps her teacher to reclaim her life.
