Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson with interment at a later date in Carrington City Cemetery in Carrington, North Dakota. Memorials preferred to Heart of Minnesota Animal Shelter.
Christopher “Chris” Braun, 67, of Darwin passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at his home in Darwin. Memorial Service was held Saturday, June 8, 2024, 4 p.m. at Cornerstone Church in Litchfield. Private Family Graveside Service will be held at a later date in St. Anastasia Catholic Cemetery in Hutchinson.
Bruce Bjerkelund, 85, of Hutchinson passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson with interment in the church cemetery.

Hutchinson High School’s 2024 graduating class celebrated diversity — a bond that grew out of their COVID pandemic experiences and the strength they achieved through it — as members prepared for their next odyssey during commencement ceremony Friday. This message of diversity began with class president Muhammad Dhanani’s opening address, during which he reminisced about those early days of COVID.

The first memory is working the craft fair with my parents (Jeremy and Leah Watzke). I will always remember walking around the fair with my mom and loving how everything was so creative and beautiful! My second memory is attending all of the Water Carnival events over the years.
