For the love of orange

Does it get any better than free admission, free parking and free live music? You bet it does when you’re talking about the 33rd annual Orange Spectacular — the largest Allis-Chalmers tractor, machinery and toy. Norm Grams, president of the the Upper Midwest Allis-Chalmbers Club, credited the longtime success of the show to the desire for keeping the Allis-Chalmers brand alive.

Blues finish sixth in North Star League

Litchfield sewed up the sixth seed for the Region 12C playoffs as it split two games against North Star League rivals last week. While of sweep of the games would have given the Blues the fifth seed for the region tournament, their performance in a 1-0 win over Buffalo Friday and a 5-1 loss to Maple Lake Sunday would seem to indicate their rounding into postseason form.

Stuffed with fun at the library

Hutchinson Senior Center is owned and operated by Hutchinson through its Parks, Recreation and Community Education Department. Activities for people age 55 or older are available 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at Hutchinson Event Center, 1005 State Highway 15 S. For more information, call 320-234-5656. ‘Nothing’ can rank highly among one’s accomplishments

How is your summer going? My summer is a mix of family events including one wedding, church responsibilities, household projects, gardening, Bible study, babysitting, time with friends, reading, classic book club, writing, sitting on the deck, grilling, salad making, and being outside, preferably by any lake or at Anderson Gardens. It sounds like I am busy, which is not always the case.
