Marlyn A. Krueger, 95, of Hutchinson passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson. Funeral Service was held Thursday, June 27, 2024, 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with interment in Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson. She was the daughter of Martin and Blanche (Klawitter) Wilhelm. Marlyn was baptized as an infant on June 9, 1929, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Penn Township and later confirmed in her faith as a youth on June 11, 1944, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton. The Wilhelm’s rented housing, so they moved often, but always stayed in the Brownton area. She received her education in Brownton and was a graduate of Brownton High School class of 1947. After graduation, Marlyn was employed at 3M where she was selected as the 3M Queen. As one of three Hutchinson representatives, she was chosen to represent Hutchinson in the 1950 St. Paul Winter Carnival. On March 31, 1950, Marlyn was united in marriage to Arthur Krueger at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. This marriage was blessed with three children, Tony, Karla and Paul. Marlyn and Arthur made their home in Hutchinson. They shared 51 years of marriage until Arthur passed away on November 7, 2001. Shortly after starting a family, Marlyn became a full-time wife and mother. She was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, serving on the Dorcas Group, helping with salad luncheons, serving treats at Bible school, serving funeral luncheons, and going to Bethesda Thrift Shop once a month. Marlyn also volunteered at Meals on Wheels, the hospital thrift store, fixed hair at Burns Manor, made quilts and soap for World Relief, and helped with Legion spaghetti dinners. Marlyn enjoyed crocheting, bowling, volleyball, and playing cards. She cherished time spent with her family and friends. Blessed be her memory. Marlyn is survived by her children, Karla (Jerome) Wosmek of Darwin, Paul (Deb) Krueger of Maple Grove; grandson, Philip Wosmek; great-grandchildren, Job (Grace), Thomas, Emma, and Luke Wosmek; sister, Leone Kujas; sister-in-law, Olive Krueger; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marlyn is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Blanche Wilhelm; husband, Arthur Krueger; son, Tony Krueger; grandson, Brad Wosmek. Arrangements by Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson.
