Children will soon be trading in the chimes of neighborhood ice cream trucks for the bells of school as summer vacation gives way to the start of a new academic year. August through September is prime back-toschool season, with children all across the country stocking their backpacks and shopping for new school wardrobes.

Studying is vital to academic performance. At the dawn of a new school year, students get a fresh start to improve upon or continue strong their study habits.

Park Elementary School has been serving Hutchinson students since 1938. Park is a historic educational building, which has transformed over the years from a K-12 school to a 2-5 elementary school.

New Century Academy, a sixth through 12th grade public charter school in Hutchinson, will celebrate its 23rd school year. The first day of school will be Tuesday, Aug.

For those unfamiliar with Northwoods Elementary, we are a small, fully accredited, Seventhday Adventist Christian School, located on the campus of Maplewood Academy. We offer classes from preschool through eighth grade.
