MARY A. FRICK

 Mary A. Frick, 85, of Hutchinson passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Woodstone Senior Living in Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, September 17, 2024, 11 a.m., at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson with interment in the church cemetery.

 Mary Ann Frick was born on July 15, 1939, in Ashton, Iowa. She was the daughter of Al and Clara (May) Platt. Mary was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ashton. She received her education in Ashton and was a graduate of the St. Joseph’s Catholic School, class of 1957. Mary furthered her education at Mount Marty University in Yankton, S.D., and Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.
 Mary was blessed with three children, Ted, Janet and David. She resided in Ashton and a few various cities in Minnesota including Willmar and Balaton before making her home in Hutchinson.
 Mary was employed at Hutchinson Technology Inc. as a Tech Trainer. She retired in 2000. Mary was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and the American Legion Post 290 Auxiliary.
 Mary enjoyed traveling, exercising, playing cards, and reading. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

 Mary is survived by her children, Ted Frick and his wife, Paula of Hutchinson, David Frick and his wife, Oksana of Brownton, Janet Janowski and her husband Jay of Courtland; grandchildren, Courtney, Scott, Sheila, Todd, Justin, Samantha, Alyosha, and Katrina; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Mackenzie, Piper, McKenna, McKayla, Lucas, Wyatt, Rhys, Levi; siblings, Don Platt and his wife Bea of Sibley, Iowa, Jan Blake and her husband Larry of Iowa City, Iowa; sister-in-law, Marly Platt of Willmar; many other relatives and friends.
 Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Al and Clara Platt; son (in infancy), Robert Frick; brother, Gene Platt.
