Steven A. Schumacher, 72, of El Segundo, Calif., passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Inglewood Centinela Hospital in Inglewood, Calif. Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with private family interment in Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.

 Steven Alan Schumacher was born on January 22, 1952, in Watertown. He was the son of Donald and Arlene (Brueggemeier) Schumacher. Steve was baptized as an infant at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hollywood Township, Carver County, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. He received his education in Hutchinson and was a graduate of Hutchinson High School, class of 1970. Steve furthered his education at Gustavus Adolphus College.
 Steve resided in El Segundo. Steve was employed at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, Calif. He then worked for a courier service.
 Steve liked traveling, reading, and learning about historical events. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the Minnesota Vikings and Twins.

 Steve is survived by his mother, Arlene Schumacher of Hutchinson; brother, Jeffrey Schumacher and his wife Linda of Lester Prairie; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
 Steve is preceded in death by his father, Donald Schumacher; sister, Rebecca in infancy; brother, James in infancy; grandparents; uncles.
