Allen L. Christopher, 89, of Hutchinson passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at The Estates at Roseville in Roseville. Memorial Service was held Saturday, November 16, 2024, 11 a.m., at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with interment at a later date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. He was the son of Leslie and Iva (Eastman) Christopher. Allen was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith as a youth, both at Vineyard United Methodist Church in Hutchinson.

He received his education in Hutchinson and was a graduate of Hutchinson High School, class of 1953. Allen entered active military service in the United States Army on July 17, 1958, in Glencoe. He received a transfer to the United States Army Reserve on April 16, 1960, at Fort Lee, Va., and achieved the rank of Private First Class. On June 14, 1986, Allen was united in marriage to Carol Bullert at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Al was blessed with three children, Gary, Casey, Daniel, and four stepchildren, Timothy, Jody, Leonard and Janell. Allen and Carol resided in Hutchinson. They shared 38 years of marriage. Allen was self-employed and owned his own trucking and household moving company. He was a member of the local legion. Allen enjoyed farming, fishing, reading and playing card and dice games. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends. Blessed be his memory.

Allen is survived by his wife, Carol Christopher of Rochester; sons, Gary Christopher of Aurora, Colo., Casey Christopher of Richmond, Va.; stepchildren, Timothy Everson, Jody Everson of Pennsylvania, Leonard Bullert and his wife Rowena of Lake Placid, Fla., Janell Sellers of Rochester; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Westlund of Ocean Shores, Wash.; many other relatives and friends. Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Iva Christopher; son, Daniel Christopher; stepgranddaughter, Megan Everson; siblings John Christopher, Frances Christopher, Lela Graupmann; brothers-in-law, Delbert Graupmann, Carl Westlund.
