A fast way to cause a lot of destruction in a short period of time is to tie the tails of two foxes together, wedge a lit torch between their tails, and set them free to run through dry fields in the middle of summer. You can really multiply the destruction by creating another 149 pairs of foxes with torches.
Hutchinson Police Services responded to the following incidents: JULY 19: Hutchinson Police responded to a two-vehicle accident. Sydney Hazel Reyes, 25, of Hutchinson was driving a 2013 Chrysler Town & Country east on Denver Avenue Southwest. Audrey Ann Horrmann, 80, of Hutchinson was northbound in a 2021 Ford Escape, coming out of the Aldi parking lot. Horrmann proceeded to make a left turn to head west onto Denver Avenue Southwest. Reyes’ vehicle struck the front driver’s side of Horrmann’s Ford Escape. No reported injuries. No tows. All occupants were wearing proper restraints. Horrmann was issued a citation for petty misdemeanor — failure to yield to for vehicle/pedestrian.

Hundreds gathered Friday night for the first Stroll for Hope at Masonic/West River Park in Hutchinson. Formerly known as the Relay for Life of McLeod County, the annual event honors cancer survivors and remembers those who died from the disease.
