He was the son of Ernst and Anastasia Catholic Church Malinda (Hafermann) Krueger. Ray was baptized as an infant at his home by Pastor Bratke from St. Paul’s in Hutchinson with interment in the church cemetery. Lutheran Church in Arlington and later confirmed in his faith as a youth at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Clergy Officiating: Father Paul Wolf; Pianist: Arlington. He received his education in Arlington- Bonnie Westmiller; Song Leader: Lucy Newcomb; Green Isle and was a graduate of Arlington-Green Isle High School class of 1961. Hutchinson rebounded from a pair of disappointing losses last week with a resounding nonconference win Monday. The Tigers, 6-5 overall, pounced on Minneapolis 20-2 in a game played at Parade Ice Garden.

Hutchinson High School’s annual Swing Into Spring event at the Crow River Winery will take place Friday, May 17 -- the culmination of the year for both the jazz bands and New World Singers and their teachers. “We develop the calendar around the Swing Into Spring event,” Nickolas Buroker, Hutchinson High School band director said.
Hutchinson won one of three games during a tournament Saturday at Mound. The Tigers opened the tournament with a 13-3 loss to Richfield but rebounded with a 12-2 win over Willmar.
Hutchinson wrapped up a busy week with a 4-1 win over Alexandria Friday. It was the Tigers’ third game in four days, during which they won two of three and improved to 6-7 on the season.
Jake Wendland’s double drove home Jayden Fleck with the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Hutchinson Huskies opened their 2024 season with a 2-1 win over Courtland. Sam Starke earned the win on the mound, scattering five hits over the final five innings.
Shelley Caldwell will be showcasing her work in the Hutchinson Center for the Arts Visual Artists Exhibition Series.
