Gary L. Degn, 75, of Hutchinson passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. Memorial Service was Friday, November 22, 2024, 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Linda K. Pagenkopf, 73, of Lake Minnie-Belle passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at her home. Memorial Service was Monday, November 25, 2024, 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Clergy Officiating: Pastor Scott Grorud; Organist: Austin Willhite; Congregational Hymns: “How Great Thou Art”, “On Eagle’s Wings”, “Amazing Grace” Linda Kaye Pagenkopf was born on March 28, 1951, in Adrian. She was the daughter of Leo and Jean (Janshen) Pomranke. Linda was baptized as an adult at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. She received her education in Worthington and was a graduate with Worthington High School, class of 1969. Linda furthered her education at Vo-Tech School in Mankato. On April 16, 1994, Linda was united in marriage to Guy Pagenkopf at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Linda and Guy resided in Hutchinson from 1994-1997 before making their home on Lake Minnie-Belle. They shared 30 years of marriage. Linda was employed as a coater operator at 3M for 34 years before retiring in 2009. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Linda loved walking and whale watching in Maui, Hawaii. She enjoyed going on pontoon and ATV rides around Lake Minnie-Belle. Linda also enjoyed tending to her flowers and gardening. She especially enjoyed time spent with her family, Minnesota friends, Maui friends, coffee ladies, and her cats. Blessed be her memory. Linda is survived by her husband Guy Pagenkopf of Lake Minnie-Belle; mother, Jean Pomranke of Willmar; siblings, Billy Pomranke and his wife Peggy of Mankato, Danny Pomranke and his wife Marlys of Willmar, Daryle Pomranke of Mankato; parents-in-law Earl and Sharon Pagenkopf of Stewart; sisters-in-law Tammy Schaufler of Stewart, Cindy Exsted and her husband Wayne of Biscay, Robin Van Remortel and her husband Paul of De Pere, Wis.; special friend Connie Pomranke of Mankato; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Our Father, the gardener

A few weeks ago, I was having dinner with one of the families from our church. As we were eating, the conversation got around to apple trees. My friend said, “You know, the apples on our trees don’t ever turn out very good, but my neighbor, his apples are great! He knows just how to take care of those trees, and he trims them right and makes sure that it’s got the right amount so his apples are nice and big!”
