Cannabis ordinance on track

The Minnesota Legislature made adult cannabis use legal within the state of Minnesota in 2023. However, sale of non-medicinal cannabis is not yet legal in most parts of the state, because it has taken time for cities and counties to establish regulations about sales and use of the controlled substance within their jurisdictions.

Litchfield falls to Hutchinson

While there haven’t been any team wins to celebrate, the Litchfield girls swimming and diving team is still finding success. That’s the message of coach Ashlynn Mattson, who said she’s seen improvement in several individual swimmers even though the Dragons have ended up on the wrong end of the final score.

Hutchinson Police Services responded to the following incidents: AUG. 29: Hutchinson Police responded to a property damage accident. Mixaela Gutierrez Gutierrez, 27, of Hutchinson, driving a 2009 Dodge Avenger was southbound on Merrill Street Southwest and turned west onto South Grade Road Southwest. The vehicle went up on the curb and hit a street sign. The vehicle sustained moderate- functional damage. No reported injuries. No tows. All occupants were wearing seat belts. Driver received a citation for petty misdemeanor for no drivers license in possession or fail to display upon request.
