Young Tigers look for success

Hutch/GSL features large group of underclassmen Will youth serve up wins? That’s the question facing Hutchinson/Glencoe-Silver Lake’s girls soccer team, which features a roster with 15 underclassmen and just nine upperclassmen. Coach Annie DeMeyer isn’t getting too hung up on age, however, believing experience and cohesiveness could add up to success this season.

Hutchinson looks to continue net success

Tennis team hopes to assemble pieces to defend conference title Coming off a strong 12-5 season, including a 4-0 record in Wright County Conference play, the Hutchinson girls tennis team is poised for another competitive season. Coach Todd Card sees similarities to last season in the 2024 edition, and the Tigers success will depend in part on how well seasoned singles players can mesh with new doubles pairings.

Tigersharks return strong core

State meet experience expected to bolster team Replacing one state meet competitor will be a tall order, but the Hutchinson girls swimming and diving team has a solid foundation to build upon as it enters this season. Coach Rory Fairbanks, who’s entering his 25th season at Hutchinson, said the Tigersharks are focused on building upon their strengths and cultivating new talent as they prepare for the 2024 season.
