Kim K. Knacke, 63, of Boon Lake Township, rural Buffalo Lake, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Hutchinson Health in Hutchinson. Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Kim Kenneth Knacke was born on August 16, 1961, in Hutchinson. He was the son of Kenneth and Marlys (Radunz) Knacke. Kim was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith as a youth at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Ellsworth Township, Meeker County. He received his education in Litchfield and was a graduate of Litchfield High School, class of 1980.
On September 21, 1991, Kim was united in marriage to Donna Runke at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills Township. They resided in Wisconsin, Darwin, and Silver Lake. In 2013, they relocated to Boon Lake Township, rural Buffalo Lake. Kim and Donna shared 33 years of marriage.
Kim held employment at various places over the years. He had a love of farming and also enjoyed growing his own produce to sell at the Farmer’s Market.
Kim enjoyed trapping, hunting, and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Kim passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Hutchinson Health in Hutchinson at the age of 63 years.

Kim is survived by his wife, Donna Knacke of rural Buffalo Lake; mother, Marlys “Dolly” Knacke of Darwin; siblings, Jason Knacke and his wife Kim of Darwin, Warren Knacke and his wife Boo of Darwin, Pam Nemitz of Darwin; sisters-in-law, Diane Colombe and her husband Greg of Little Falls,
Carol Runke of Hutchinson,
Darlene Folger; beloved dog, Max; special friends, Mak Rusch, Steve and Samantha Berscheid and their children, Zoey, Sophie, and Valerie; many other relatives and friends.
Kim is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Knacke; grandparents, Art and Marie Knacke and Abbie and Herb Radunz; father- and mother-in-law, Walter and Betty Runke; brothers-in-law, Robert Runke, Scott Nemitz, Reinhold Runke; special friend, Roger Rusch; many aunts and uncles.
