Arline R. Jergens, 89, of Hutchinson passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson. Memorial Service was held Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11 a.m. at New Journey United Church of Christ in Hutchinson with interment in Glencoe City Cemetery in Glencoe.

Arline Ruth Jergens was born on July 5, 1936, in Glencoe. She was the daughter of Earl and Lily (Buss) Clayton. Arline was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at First Congregational Church in Glencoe. She received her education in Glencoe and was a graduate of Glencoe High School, class of 1954.
On June 30, 1954, Arline was united in marriage to Neil Jergens on the family homestead in rural Biscay. This marriage was blessed with three sons, Guy, Mark and Kurt. In 1963, Arline and Neil purchased the family homestead in rural Biscay. In 2008, they moved to Hutchinson. Arline and Neil shared 56 years of marriage prior to the passing of Neil on July 6, 2010.
Arline was a loving wife, mother, and partner in the farming operation. She was also employed at Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing (3M) in Hutchinson, Hutchinson Technologies Inc., and Green Giant in Glencoe. Arline retired in 1991. She was a member of New Journey United Church of Christ. Arline was also a member of Mrs. Jaycees and Newcomers Club. She belonged to Order of Eastern Star #32 in Glencoe.
Arline enjoyed going to the Hutch Café every morning and to the senior center in the afternoon. She was a Cub Scout den mother along with Verna Jergens. Arline had many hobbies and liked gardening and canning. She also liked to crochet and play cards. She cherished spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.

Arline is survived by her sons, Guy Jergens of Bonney Lake, Wash., Mark Jergens and his wife Angie of Hutchinson, Kurt Jergens of Watertown; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Arline is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Lily Clayton; husband, Neil Jergens; other loved ones, Frank, Rose, Debbie, Chris, Garnet, and Mason Jergens, Marilyn Frederickson, Dr. Jerry Mueller, Ken Thurk, Scott Clayton, Chuck Erickson, Ron Jensen; and other relatives and friends.
