Elsie M. Alsleben, 94, of Buffalo Lake formerly of Hutchinso and Detroit Lakes, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Buffalo Lake Health Care Center in Buffalo Lake. Funeral Service was held Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11 a.m.. at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with interment in the church cemetery. Memorials preferred to Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.

Elsie Mary Alsleben was born on March 15, 1931, in Round Grove Township, rural Stewart. She was the daughter of Otto and Hulda (Moritz) Draeger. Elsie was baptized as an infant on March 29, 1931, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Fernando and later confirmed in her faith as a youth on May 20, 1945, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton. She received her education at Immanuel Lutheran School in Brownton.
On September 10, 1950, Elsie was united in marriage to Roy E. Alsleben at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton. Elsie and Roy shared 44 years of marriage prior to the passing of Roy on January 21, 1995.
Elsie was employed at Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing (3M) in Hutchinson from 1947 to 1967. Elsie and Roy also farmed near Hutchinson from 1961 to 1987. After Roy retired in 1987, they moved to rural Detroit Lakes. After the passing of Roy, Elsie moved back to Hutchinson. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson and Zion Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes.
Elsie enjoyed playing bingo, housekeeping, gardening, and doing yard work. She also enjoyed working in the shed with Roy, fishing, deer hunting, and snowmobiling. Elsie cherished spending time with her family and friends.
When Elsie needed additional care, she became a resident at Buffalo Lake Health Care Center in Buffalo Lake. The family would like to thank the staff of Buffalo Lake Health Care Center for your loving care of Elsie.

Elsie is survived by her brother, Rueben Draeger and his wife Berniece of Hutchinson; sisters-in-law, Beverly Alsleben of Hutchinson, Dorothy Alsleben of Hutchinson; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Elsie is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Hulda Draeger; husband, Roy Alsleben; brother, Rufus Draeger and his wife Gloria; brothers-in-law, Earl Alsleben, Iven Alsleben, Melvin Alsleben and his wife Mary; sisters-in-law, Shirley Burmeister and her husband Melvin, Rosella Hanson and her husband Vernon.
