RICHARD REINER

 Richard “Rick” W. Reiner, age 79, of Hutchinson passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, September 27, 2025, 1 p.m. at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson with interment in the church cemetery.

 Richard “Rick” Wyllis Reiner was born on March 6, 1946, in Glencoe. He was the son of Wyllis and Loretta (Chastek) Reiner. Rick was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith as a youth. He received his education in Hutchinson and was a graduate of Hutchinson High School, class of 1964.
 Rick entered the United States Navy on January 21, 1966, in Minneapolis. He received an honorable discharge on July 26, 1966, at U.S. Naval Schools Command, Norfolk, Va., and achieved the rank of Seaman Apprentice.
 On June 26, 1976, Rick was united in marriage to Theresa Horejsi at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague. Rick and Theresa made their home in Hutchinson. They shared 49 years of marriage.
 Rick was a lifelong farmer. He was a past employee of Hantge Funeral Chapels and was also employed at 3M in Hutchinson for 35 years. Rick was an active member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson, serving on various committees throughout the years. He was also a member of American Legion Post 96, Hutchinson Knights of Columbus Council 4797, McLeod Corn Growers Association, American Soybean Association, and the John Deere 2-Cylinder Club.
 Rick enjoyed traveling, bowling, playing cards, old time music, dancing, and talking. He also enjoyed volunteering his time being a volunteer driver for Trailblazer Transit. Rick especially cherished time spent with his family and friends.

 Rick is survived by his wife Theresa Reiner of Hutchinson; sister Rhonda Murray of Brainerd; step-nephews, Christopher Murray, Nicholas Murray; many cousins, other relatives and friends.
 Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Wyllis and Loretta Reiner; sister in infancy, Rita Reiner; parents-in-law, George and Jeanette Horejsi; brother-in-law, Michael Murray.
