Ruth Elaine (Kosek) Sullivan, 80, of Dassel died Tuesday, October 22, 2025, at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel. A time to celebrate Ruth’s life with the family for a meal and conversation will be held after the service at the Dassel History Center at 901 First St. N., Dassel, MN 55325.
 There will be a time to gather with the family one hour prior to the memorial service at Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
 Ruth Elaine (Kosek) Sullivan, the daughter of Agnus “Bill” and Deloris (Gillman) Kosek was born on November 13, 1944, in Hutchinson. Ruth was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. She grew up in the Hutchinson area and graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1961.
 Ruth was united in marriage to Thomas Sullivan. Together they made their home in Stewart for many years. In 1985, Ruth moved to Dassel where she has since resided. Ruth was employed as a line worker and forklift operator for 35 years at Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company (3M) in Hutchinson. She enjoyed work and after her retirement she worked as a waitress for several years at Third Street Café in Dassel. Ruth had also worked at Jacks in Cokato cooking pizzas and cookies for many years.
 Ruth liked to spend time playing cards and bingo and everyone knew that you did not disturb her on Monday and Wednesday during the time she was playing cards or bingo. She enjoyed rustic camping, and traveling to Las Vegas, Nev., and the local casinos. She thoroughly enjoyed time she could spend with family, especially the overnight time with grandchildren. Christmas was one of her favorite times of the year.
 She is survived by her children, Randy Sullivan of Hawaii, Becky (Matt) Stark of Gibbon, and Shelley Sullivan (significant other: Jason Nelson) of Litchfield, six grandchildren, Alisha Korpi, Tiffany Korpi, Jayden Mackedanz, Mitchel Stark, Maylee Stark, and Dawson Mackedanz, five great-grandsons, siblings, Kelly Wischmann of St. Cloud, Kenneth Kosek of Dassel, Jane (Mike) Linder of Hutchinson, Ralph (Sheila) Kosek of the metro area, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnus and Deloris Kosek, and a son-in-law, Keith Korpi.
