Marlyce Ann Wraspir Bjork of Cokato was born on June 26, 1939, to Eldon and Mary (Burich) Wraspir in Hale Township. She attended Country School #27 for eight years and then attended Silver Lake High School graduating in 1956. She worked for a year at Massey-Harris-Ferguson before marrying Rodney Carl Bjork in 1957. That union produced two boys, Byron Dean and Ryan Anthony Bjork. She worked at 3M for 5½ years and National Connector, later called Fabri-tek, CTS, and AbelConn for 35 years. Retired and later found herself driving a special needs bus for the Dassel Cokato School district for 10 years. It was her favorite job. In 2007 Rodney passed away and she continued working until 2014. She always had a prospering garden and flower bed. In 2008 after moving to Dassel she continued growing flowers and vegetables on a much smaller scale. Ryan came to help and was appreciated. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Eldon Wraspir, and spouse, Rodney Bjork.
She is survived by sons, Byron (Connie) Bjork and Ryan Bjork, grandsons, Greg (Jenna) Bjork of Hudson, Wis., Christopher (Jill) Bjork of St. Paul, Tim (Daphane) of Kelly, Iowa, brother, Alan (Barbara) Wraspir of Silver Lake, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4 at 11 a.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church in Silver Lake with visitation starting at 10 a.m. A visitation will also be held on Monday, November 3 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato.
