Troy Randall Carlson, 60, of St. Michael passed away on January 24, 2025. Although his death was unexpected, he passed peacefully and quickly surrounded by his wife and family. He was born on August 11, 1964, in Minneapolis to Darwin and Dianne (Beske) Carlson. Troy grew up in Hutchinson, graduating from Hutchinson High School with the class of 1983. He furthered his education in the history of fine arts at Minnesota Institute of Art, but eventually began his career in the semiconductor manufacturing business at VTC in Bloomington. After many years of service, he moved onto HTI in Hutchinson and transitioned to working for Resonetics where he was currently employed.
Troy was a man with many talents and interests from woodworking, drawing, love of history and historical events, genealogy, and dabbling with photography. Of course anyone that knew him would say he had OCD (Obsessive Christmas Disorder). If it was up to him he would have decorations up all year long. He was an avid Hallmark fan and could watch Christmas Movies non-stop! Troy was a man who passionately loved his family. He also was a loyal, loving, and caring friend. He was so excited and proud to be a grandfather to three beautiful girls.
Troy is survived by his wife Andrea, his children Tyler Carlson, Ashley (Carlson) Wilcox, son-in-law Hunter Wilcox, and grandchildren Harper, Lainey, and Sadiee Wilcox. He is preceded in death by his mother, Diane and his mother-in-law Ellen. Funeral services for Troy Carlson were held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 5 p.m. at The Peterson Chapel, St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Marschall officiated. A visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29, one hour prior to services at the funeral home. The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home served the family.
