Gladys A. Homan, 78, of Hutchinson passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson with interment in the church cemetery.

Gladys Ann Homan was born on August 22, 1946, in Sleepy Eye. She was the daughter of Michael and Mathilda (Sellner) Windschitl. Gladys was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Church of Japanese Martyrs in Sleepy Eye. She received her education in Comfrey and was a graduate of Comfrey High School, class of 1964.
On September 5, 1964, Gladys was united in marriage to Jerome Homan at Church of Japanese Martyrs in Sleepy Eye. This marriage was blessed with three children, Audrey, Russell, and Alan. Gladys and Jerome resided in Gibbon and later moved to Hutchinson. They shared 60 years of marriage.
Gladys was a loving wife, mother, homemaker, and partner in the farming operation. She was also employed as a personal banker for Wells Fargo in Hutchinson. She retired in January of 2010. Gladys was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. She also volunteered at Hutchinson Health Hospital Gift Shop.
Gladys enjoyed cooking, quilting, playing cards, planting flowers, and decorating her home for the various seasons and holidays. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

Gladys is survived by her husband, Jerome Homan of Hutchinson; children, Audrey Lloyd and her husband Douglas of Kingston, Tenn., Russell Homan and his wife Jena of Smyrna, Ga., Alan Homan and his wife Karen Wong of Valencia, Calif.;
six grandchildren, Carrie Miller, Mathilda Lloyd, Joel Homan, Emily Homan, Makena Wong-Homan, and Kaimana Wong-Homan; brothers, Walter Windschitl of Sleepy Eye, Marvin Windschitl of Comfrey, many other relatives and friends.
Gladys is preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Mathilda Windschitl; sisters, Phyllis Wersal, Doris Windschitl.
