Janet “Jan” A. Klockmann, 79, of Hutchinson passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Stonebay Senior Living in Orono. Funeral Service was held Monday, June 10, 2024, 10 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with interment in Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson. Memorials preferred. She was the daughter of George and Helen (Radunz) Schlueter. Janet was baptized as an infant on June 18, 1944, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on May 18, 1958, both at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. She received her high school diploma from The American School in Chicago, Ill., graduating August 14, 1962. Janet furthered her education at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud for six years, achieving a Bachelor’s Degree in 1986. She went on to William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul where she received a Juris Doctor Law Degree in 1991. Janet made her home in Hutchinson raising her five children, Leslie, Lorrie, Jaye, Michael, and Ryan, and two stepchildren, Tammie and Sherrie. Janet was employed in the office at 3M Hutchinson and St. Paul for 42 years before retiring on June 1, 2010. Janet was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. She also served as an election judge, was a MN Sexual Assault Advocate, volunteered in the Twin Cities area for the Legal Aid Society of Minneapolis, and was a coordinator for fundraising for “Home Free”, a residence for battered women and their children. Janet enjoyed being active in the church community and served as a Sunday school teacher, altar guild member, lay leader, reader, and volunteer on other various parish services. She especially cherished time spent with her family, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and friends. Blessed be her memory. Janet is survived by her children, Leslie Pollack and her husband David of Rehoboth Beach, Del., Lorrie Wright and her husband Don of Plymouth, Michael Klockmann and his wife Kimberly of LeSueur, Ryan Klockmann and his wife Jill of Hedgesville, W.V.; stepchildren, Tammie Wise and her husband Brian of Grand Rapids, Sherrie Schwecke and her husband Randy of Gibbon; grandchildren, Joshua (Heather) Schmidt, Zachary (Kim) Schwecke, Eric (Casie) Klockmann, Jacob (Caitlin) Schmidt, Meghan (Thomas) Creek, Trent (Katie) Wise, Josie (Joe) Jerde, Kyle Klockmann, Brittany (Andrew) Kennedy, McKay Wise, Danny (Karisa) Walsh, Andrew (Brianna) Pollack, Alex (Hannah) Klockmann, Brandon Klockmann, Carsen Klockmann, Haley Schwecke, Weston Schwecke, JP (Paige) Wright, Bekah (Theo) Betting, Jacob Harrison, and Josh Harrison; 25 greatgrandchildren; sister-in-law, Beverly Schlueter of Hutchinson; many other relatives and friends.
