Another book for Johnson
Julianne Johnson knew before she finished her first book last year that there probably would be more. It didn’t take the Grove City native long to make that come true.

The power of music

Bloodmobile donors give 144 units
Red Cross Bloodmobile was visited Peace Lutheran June 11, collecting 144 units. Milestones were reached by the following: 13 gallons: Traci Fenke and Michael Wosmek; 12 gallons: Jan Hansch; 8 gallons: Annette Barnes; 4 gallons: Dawn Vandenberg; 3 gallons: Joseph Berube and Brian Baysinger; 2 gallons: Stacey Schumann, Mark Schumann and ailey Rettmann; 1 gallon: Thomas Pepper and first-time donor Aidan Berube.

God tells us ‘get closer to me’
In 1976 the singing duo of Seals & Crofts released the song “Get Closer,” with the lyrics, “Darling, if you want me to be closer to you, get closer to me.” Every time I hear this song play, I think back to a youthful memory.

Summer concert series offers a mid-day break The benefits of taking a break during the workday are well-documented. It can decrease stress, improve focus and increase efficiency. While stepping away from your desk can clear your head, consider taking a music break.

The wild and wonderful Water Carnival
It was fun in the sun for most of the events of the 81st Hutchinson Jaycee Water Carnival. The “water” in Water Carnival held off until Saturday, so Community Day was moved indoors to the Hutchinson Recreation Center.
