HUTCHINSON POLICE REPORT

Hutchinson Police Services responded to the following incidents: Feb. 14: Hutchinson Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Jefferson Street Southeast/First Avenue Southeast. Samantha Jean Monson, 35, of Hutchinson was driving a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee south on Jefferson Street Southeast. Victoria Jean Langan, 59, of Hutchinson was driving a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee west on First Avenue Southeast, approaching the stop sign with Jefferson Street SE. Langan proceeded westbound through the intersection. Monson was unable to stop and collided with the rear passenger side of the Grand Cherokee. No reported injuries. No tows. All were were wearing seatbelts. Langan was issued a citation for petty misdemeanor-traffic regulations- driver approaching intersection fails to yield right of way.

POLICE BEAT

Hutchinson Police Services responded to the following incidents: Feb. 6: Hutchinson Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on the 200 block of Main Street South. Joanne Dahlen Searl, 71, of Litchfield had legally parked her 2019 Subaru Outback, which was unoccupied, facing south on Main Street South. Robert Carlton Parrish, 66, driving a 2010 Honda Accord, was southbound on Main Street South when he struck the driver’s side of the Subaru Outback. No reported injuries. The Subaru was towed. Parrish was issued a citation for misdemeanor- traffic-duty to drive with due care-speed greater than reasonable.
