Huskies roll to big win over Loretto
Jake Wendland had two hits and drove in three runs to lead an 11-hit attack as the Hutchinson Huskies beat Loretto 11-4 June 26. The win helped the Huskies hold on to first place in the North Star League with a 7-1 record.
Pickleball group serves up a proposal
Hutchinson pickleball players want a home for matches they believe could be a boon not only to enthusiasts but also to local businesses. City Council members expressed support for a proposed outdoor pickleball complex, but they also told a group who attended their meeting June 25 that if they seek city financial support they’ll need to get in line.

Blues score 43 runs in two games
The Litchfield Blues are suddenly posting scores akin to a football team, not the baseball squad they are. The Blues have scored 43 runs in their last two games, including a 16-3 win over Maple Plain in a North Star League game Sunday at Maple Plain.
