Let’s make the most of this academic adventure, embracing every challenge and celebrating every triumph Welcome back to New Discoveries Montessori Academy, or NDMA, for another exciting year of learning and growth! As the new school year begins, we extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to all our students, both familiar faces and those joining us for the first time. We have missed your laughter, curiosity and boundless energy, and we are thrilled to have you back in our classrooms and hallways.

Park Elementary School has been serving Hutchinson students since 1938. Park is a historic educational building, which has transformed over the years from a K-12 school to a 2-5 elementary school.

Studying is vital to academic performance. At the dawn of a new school year, students get a fresh start to improve upon or continue strong their study habits.

Children will soon be trading in the chimes of neighborhood ice cream trucks for the bells of school as summer vacation gives way to the start of a new academic year. August through September is prime back-toschool season, with children all across the country stocking their backpacks and shopping for new school wardrobes.

All you have to do is apply! The University of Minnesota Extension website at mastergardener.extension. org, provides background information about the Master Gardener program. Applications open in August and close Oct. 1. Applicants will have an informal interview with Emily Hansen, University of Minnsota Extension educator, and other Extension Master Gardeners before they fully commit. The program begins Jan. 1.
